Representatives of South Ossetian media are participating in the International Media Forum in Istanbul.
The media forum for Russian-language media abroad is organized by the Moscow government. The participants include more than 50 journalists and representatives of compatriots from 26 countries, including South Ossetia.
Representing the Republic at the Forum are Maya Kharebova, editor-in-chief of the Res news agency, and Zalina Tskhovrebova, editor-in-chief of the Yuzhnaya Ossetiya newspaper.
"Participating in such a significant and unifying event, which brings together leading experts, journalists, and media professionals from around the world, is important to us."In our time, when information plays a key role in shaping public opinion and strengthening international relations, honest, responsible, and professional work in the media is especially important," Maya Kharebova, the head of IA "Res" said.
According to her, this Forum is a unique opportunity for South Ossetia to exchange experiences, share its journey, and hear and understand diverse perspectives on processes unfolding around the world.
Kharebova has expressed confidence that only the timely dissemination of reliable information can strengthen dialogue between peoples and build a more just and peaceful world.
The Forum program includes panel discussions, master classes, and presentations. Journalists will discuss editorial work, new media technologies, artificial intelligence, and the ways to attract young audience.
The event will run until September 24.
