South Ossetia participated in one of the key high-tech events—the IV Future Technologies Forum (FTF-2026), held at the Moscow World Trade Center.

The Republic was represented at the Forum by Maria Kabisova, Deputy Director of the South Ossetian Research Institute.

The invitation to participate was sent by Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to President of the Russian Federation.

As the Deputy Director shared with IA "Res", the Forum allowed the participants to learn about the latest developments of bio-economics, which was the main focus of the 2026 agenda.

"The Forum program covered a wide range of topics—from fundamental science to the practical implementation of biotechnology in the economy." "A great deal of useful information and specific case studies were presented, which are important for understanding how science-intensive technologies will transform industries in the coming years," Maria Kabisova said.

The Deputy Director expressed gratitude to Roscongress for the opportunity to participate in the scientific event of such scale.

"Such events help broaden our horizons and recognize the need to define and even change the trajectory of scientific research in South Ossetia, which must be linked to the fundamental changes in the scientific and educational landscape," she added.

The Forum brought together over 1,800 delegates from Russia and 57 foreign countries.

The extensive business program included over 30 thematic sessions, attended by 180 speakers and moderators. The highlight was the plenary session with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Following the event, Kabisova received a letter of gratitude from the organizers (the Roscongress Foundation) for her active participation in the Forum.
