Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev, at the invitation of Sergey Shitkov, Director of the Diplomatic Academy at MGIMO University, took part in the 12th embassy roundtable discussion on "The Ukrainian Crisis: The West's True Goals and Role." This was reported by the Embassy press service.
The event was opened by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who in his speech presented facts demonstrating the West's destructive role in the formation of the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv and the emergence and escalation of the conflict around Ukraine.
The participants had a frank exchange of views on the Ukrainian crisis and other current issues on the international agenda.
Following the discussion, the intention was expressed to continue a substantive dialogue in the format of embassy roundtables on the Ukrainian issues.
The event was attended by over 90 heads of diplomatic missions from major countries and international organizations accredited in Moscow.
