Georgia continues to pursue destructive polic instead of addressing domestic issues and genuinely protecting the rights of its citizens, which the European institutions have recently repeatedly emphasized.
This is noted in a comment by a representative of the South Ossetian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the part of the Georgian Public Defender's report concerning the Republic of South Ossetia.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has emphasized that the latest report presents distorted and inaccurate information.
"Such reports, regularly received from the Georgian Ombudsman, are purely politicized and do not reflect an objective picture. This is nothing more than an attempt to maintain the illusion of influence and deny the sovereignty of South Ossetia," the statement reads.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia once again called on the Georgian side to focus on building constructive relations with neighboring states.
