Social -economic development in South Ossetia and solutions to the Republic's most pressing problems were the main topics of the meeting between Acting President of the Republic Marat Kambolov and First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko.
As Kambolov has written on his Telegram channel, the functioning of the Lower Zaramag checkpoint received special attention during the dialogue.
He has noted that this issue is one of the most sensitive for residents of the Republic and is under constant review by the Russian leadership.
"We have discussed solutions that will expedite border crossings and make the process more convenient for people," Marat Kambolov has emphasized.
The parties also discussed a wide range of humanitarian and social issues, including modernizing the healthcare and education systems, developing social infrastructure, creating conditions for youth self-fulfillment and new jobs, and attracting investment into the Republic's real economy.
During the meeting, Sergei Kiriyenko emphasized the priority of economic growth and employment. He stated that South Ossetia should become a place where young professionals can successfully build careers and start families.
"I fully share this approach. Young people should see their future here in South Ossetia, have the opportunity to work and realize their ideas in their native land," Kambolov stated following the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, Marat Kambolov expressed gratitude to Sergei Kiriyenko for his continued support of the republic and his personal involvement in addressing pressing issues facing South Ossetia.
