The unity among all political forces is crucial for South Ossetia, and presidential candidate Marat Kambolov is contributing to this, Vadim Tedeev, Rector of the South Ossetian State University, noted in a media comment.
According to him, all political forces in the Republic, as well as public organizations, were present at the meeting of the initiative group nominating Kambolov for the post of head of state.
The Rector has noted that the presidents of South Ossetia who have led the country at various times have also unanimously supported Kambolov's nomination.
Tedeev called this a significant and unique case.
"Unity among the political forces is very important for our Republic because, unfortunately, it is overly politicized, which in turn hinders our ability to create and move the country forward.
"The fact that a leader has emerged today who can unite all our forces indicates that we are on the right path," Tedeev has emphasized.
The rector expressed confidence that with this approach, domestic policy will fade into the background, giving way to priorities such as the economy, education, and culture.
