Alan Margiev and Kazbek Taysayev discussed the development of inter-parliamentary dialogue

The South Ossetian Parliament Speaker Alan Margiev met with the State Duma Deputy Kazbek Taysayev.

The meeting was also attended by the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Parliament Deputy Chermen Dudati, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Zita Besaeva, Deputy Speaker Taymuraz Tadtaev, and a deputy Malkhaz Gagloyev.

During the meeting, Margiev emphasized the continued strengthening and development of inter-parliamentary dialogue between South Ossetia and Russia, the Parliament's press service reports.

The Speaker expressed deep gratitude to the State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and the deputies for their invaluable support and assistance in resolving pressing issues facing the Republic.

"The first meeting of the cooperation commission between the Parliament of South Ossetia and the State Duma, held last year, was constructive. The agenda was filled with important issues, and this work will continue. I thank t Deputy Speaker of the State Duma, co-chair of the Russian part of the commission, Pyotr Olegovich Tolstoy, and all the commission members for their efforts to address the key issues facing our Republic. In the current challenging international environment, we intend to further strengthen our cooperation. Today, our fraternal peoples are demonstrating unity in the fight against fascism in the special military operation zone, and we are confident that our guys will soon return home victorious," Margiev said.

He has noted that, despite the existing challenges, the Russian Federation continues to provide comprehensive assistance to South Ossetia.

"We are grateful for this support and will always be grateful to the Russian leadership for its assistance and comprehensive support," the Speaker has added.

Margiev expressed special gratitude to Kazbek Taysayev for his support and assistance.

"After the commission meeting, our colleagues gratefully noted your initiative and desire to demonstrate that the issues on the agenda are truly important for the Ossetian people," the Speaker has emphasized.

Kazbek Taysayev, for his part, conveyed greetings to Alan Margiev from the State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, noting that Volodin treated Margiev and all members of the South Ossetian Parliament with deep respect and warmth.

Taysayev has emphasized that interaction with the current South Ossetian Parliament has reached the unprecedented level.

"We have never had such a high level of cooperation as with the current South Ossetian Parliament. Nor have there been such commissions capable of effectively addressing a wide range of issues. We are always ready to provide support and facilitate problem-solving," Taysayev said.

The parliamentarian also commented on the reconstruction of the Lower Zaramag checkpoint, emphasizing the importance of this work for the Republic's residents.

"It's gratifying to see that the checkpoint is being expanded. This is important for the Republic's residents. The issue is being resolved at the highest level, and South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev is actively involved in this process," Taysayev has noted.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged commemorative gifts.
