The seventh session of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on socio-economic cooperation between South Ossetia and Russia will be held in Tskhinval on April 18-19, 2013. This decision was taken following a visit to South Ossetia by a working group of representatives of Russian ministries and agencies, led by Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev.
A specialized customs agency of the Federal Customs Service of Russia is planned to be established in South Ossetia, which will deal with customs clearance of goods transported through the Russian-South Ossetian border.
This was reported to the news agency "Res" by the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the RSO Murat Tskhovrebov, commenting on the results of the meeting of representatives of the State Customs Committee of the RSO and Federal Customs Service of Russia, held the day before in Tskhinval.
Funding for the development of design estimates of the facilities that are expected to be included into the Investment program of South Ossetia in 2013 was discussed at a meeting of the Government of the Republic under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Rostik Khugaev.
The first part of the meeting was attended by President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov, who instructed members of the government to compile a list of facilities, construction and reconstruction of which were expected to be approved at the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee on socio-economic cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia.
Prospects for the development of scientific and cultural relations between South Ossetia and Bulgaria were discussed by participants of the extended meeting of the Society of the South Ossetian-Bulgarian Friendship, held in the South Ossetian Research Institute.
The possibility of adopting a new Constitution of South Ossetia and the implications of the amendments to the Constitution of the Republic in 2001 have been discussed by the participants of the conference, "The Constitution of South Ossetia: the Past, the Present, the Prospects". The event is timed to the Constitution Day being celebrated today in South Ossetia.
South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov and Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Rashid Nurgaliev, who is in the Republic on a working visit, have gone today to Leningor district of South Ossetia, where they intend to become acquainted with the construction of infrastructure and social facilities.
Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Rashid Nurgaliev, head of Rospotrebnadzor, chief sanitary doctor Gennady Onishchenko have arrived today in the Republic of South Ossetia on a working visit.
South Ossetia is celebrating today the Constitution Day. The Basic Law of the State adopted by referendum on April 8, 2001, includes the constitutional system, rights, freedoms and duties of the citizens, as well as a system of power structures.
The information spread in the South Ossetia that since August of this year at the checkpoint of "Lower Zaramag" citizens of South Ossetia will not be allowed to cross the Russian-South Ossetian border on internal documents - passport of South Ossetia, is untrue, said the news agency "Res" Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia David Sanakoev. He has stressed that the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia does not have such information and has not received an official notification or letters on this issue from the Russian side.
Federal Service of the State Statistics of Russia, is ready to continue assisting its South Ossetian colleagues in creating effective modern statistical service and observation, said the head of the State Statistics of Russia Alexander Surinov at the briefing in Tskhinval after the signing of the plan of joint activities of the of State Statistics Offices of South Ossetia and Russia for 2013-2015.
