Italy commemorated the victims of the Beslan school attack

Remembrance events were held in Rovereto, Italy, to mark the anniversary of the Beslan tragedy, RIA Novosti reports.

"Beslan is the hpmeland of all the world's mothers' tears. To remember means to honor the memory and give meaning to the tragedy that befell the innocent city, a peaceful republic, and all of Russia," RIA Novosti quotes Ennio Bordato, president and founder of the organization "Help Us Save the Children."

A memorial service for the victims was held at the local parish of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The South Ossetian authorities have handed over to Georgia a citizen who served a sentence for illegally crossing the state border

The State Security Committee (KGB) of South Ossetia announced the completion of the case against the Georgian citizen Giorgi Uznadze, detained in March of this year for illegally crossing the Republic's state border.

On Tuesday, after serving a six-month sentence, he was released and handed over to the Georgian side.

According to the KGB, on March 17, 2026, South Ossetian border guards detained a 31-year-old resident of the village of Samtavisi in the Kaspi Municipality.
