South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak in Moscow, the Presidential press service reports.

During the working meeting, the parties discussed the launch of the Republic's state program for socio-economic development through 2030, as well as the implementation of the Republic's Investment Program for the current year.

During the meeting, the Republic's President also addressed pension issues and salary increases for civil servants.

A roundtable discussion, "The Dialogue of Cultures in Modern Times," was held in Tskhinval as part of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.

Representatives of the South Ossetian Presidential Executive Office, representatives of the Republic's academic and creative intelligentsia, representatives of the Russian Embassy in the republic, and guests from North Ossetia participated in the event.

Presidential State Advisor Batradz Begizov read out a welcoming address on behalf of President Alan Gagloev to the participants.

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev met with Valery Savlaev, official representative of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania in the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol, a member of the International Public Chamber, and representatives of the International Public Movement "Supreme Council of Ossetians" from the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.

The delegation arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the roundtable, the Presidential press service reported.

Soslan Bekoev, Chairman of the National Bank of South Ossetia, took part in the events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Bank of Abkhazia and the republic's banking system, the financial institution's press service reports.

Speaking at the ceremonial meeting attended by the President and members of the Government of Abkhazia, Soslan Bekoev noted the strategic approach of the Abkhaz leadership, which laid the foundation for financial independence 35 years ago, at the dawn of the independent Abkhaz state.

Тhe South Ossetian Foreign Ministry stated the need to comply with international law to quickly de-escalate the situation around the Islamic Republic of Iran and return the situation to the negotiating track. This was stated in the message released by the Foreign Ministry on Sunday.
