The event on the topic "Women of the Russian Diaspora: Preserving the Past, Creating the Future" was held in Qatar.
The Forum brought together representatives of the Russian government and compatriots from 49 countries to discuss the role of women in preserving cultural heritage and strengthening ties with Russia.
"Participation in the Forum is the opportunity for dialogue and exchange of experience with compatriots from different countries. It is important to work together to preserve our common cultural heritage and strengthen ties with our historical homeland. Marianna Alborova, PhD of History and Associate Professor of the Department of National Economy at RANEPA gave us a very interesting lecture on the outstanding women in Russian history," Kotaeva said.
She has shared that the meeting has included plenary sessions and master classes devoted to the preservation of spiritual and moral values, the role of women in society and the development of international cooperation.
The participants discussed methods for transmitting cultural traditions to the younger generation and the ways to overcome modern challenges.
A final statement was adopted following the Forum.
"In the resolution, we expressed support for Russia's policy in the field of historical education and preserving the memory of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
We condemned the attempts to falsify history and glorify Nazism, emphasizing the importance of preserving historical truth for future generations,” Chairperson of the KSORS has noted.
According to her, the compatriots also declared their readiness to actively participate in countering the distortion of history and conveying the truthful information about the war to the world community.
