South Ossetia held memorial events dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the introduction of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the Republic.
In honor of the memorable date, the official ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths at the stele dedicated to the feat of the Russian and South Ossetian servicemen was held in the hero city of Tskhinval.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Republic, headed by President Alan Gagloev, representatives of the ministries and departments, and the public.
In the morning, memorial services for the fallen peacekeepers were also held in the churches of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Trinity.
