Тhe Alania Les timber processing company in South Ossetia is preparing to ship its first batch of products to Russia and Iran. Vladimir Bosikov, CEO, told IA "Res".
According to him, 400 cubic meters of dry edged beech boards will be shipped to Iranian partners, and about 200 cubic meters to Russia.
"We are already loading the trucks and preparing the products for shipment. We have agreements with three Iranian companies. Our beech is highly valued in Iran because of the high-quality wood. This is not only due to the structure of the wood, but also the three-meter-long, premium-grade boards. This is extremely rare. Of all the products we plan to ship, about 70% meet these parameters," Bosikov said.
Bosikov has added that negotiations are ongoing with three Russian companies, one of which is the largest lumber marketplace in Russia. Representatives from the companies have already visited the facility and assessed its scale.
Bosikov has emphasized that the high quality of the products at the affordable price ensures strong demand.
