The family of Sergei Kabisov, a fighter of the Alania volunteer battalion and call sign "CORAL," has received the Order of Courage.
This high state award was posthumously conferred upon the hero by decree of the President of the Russian Federation for his dedication, courage, and bravery displayed in the line of duty during the special military operation.
The solemn and mournful award presentation ceremony took place in the presence of the military officials and fellow soldiers.
Addressing Kabisov's family, they noted that Sergei was not only a professional soldier but also a man of exceptional spirit, for whom honor and brotherhood were inseparable.
"Serhiy Kabisov was the example of loyalty to the oath and combat unity. A brave, courageous, and reliable comrade, he was always at the forefront and ready to help in the most difficult moments. His heroic deed is a personal example for future generations of defenders of the Fatherland. This hero will forever remain in our memory as a loyal son of his people. Heroes never die as long as their memory lives in our hearts," the ceremony participants have emphasized.
During his years of service, Serhiy Kabisov has gone through a heroic path, marked by numerous high awards, testifying to his devotion to the Fatherland and the protection of the people's interests at various frontiers.
Kabisov died while serving in the Zaporozhie region in the fall of 2024.
His service record has included the Order of Courage (posthumously), the Medal "For Bravery" by decree of President of the Russian Federation, the Medal "Defender of the Fatherland" by decree of President of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Medal "For Bravery" of the Luhansk People's Republic, the Medal "Warrior-Internationalist" of the Donetsk People's Republic, the Medal "Lieutenant General Kh. L. Kharazia" of Ministry of Defense of Abkhazia, the Medal "For Military Merit" of Ministry of Defense, the Medal "Khuybylty Valeri," and several other awards.
