The official signing of a cooperation agreement between South Ossetia and the Festival Directorate will take place on the sidelines of the upcoming International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg. This was announced by Alan Tibilov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office of the Republic, during a press conference in Tskhinval dedicated to the results of the visit of the Directorate representative Artem Fomin.

According to Tibilov, South Ossetian youth are showing tremendous interest in the World Youth Festival projects.

South Ossetian State University and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (have signed a cooperation agreement.

The document was signed during a working meeting between the SOSU Rector Vadim Tedeev and the Institute's Director Alikber Alikberov, according to the university's press service.

"The agreement comes into force upon signing and is intended for long-term cooperation with the possibility of subsequently expanding the formats of interaction.

Sergey Kiriyenko is the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia.

He came to the place where cars are checked at the border. This place is called the Lower Zaramag automobile checkpoint.

They discussed how to improve and develop the automobile checkpoint. Sergey Kiriyenko was accompanied by the Head of North Ossetia, Sergey Menyailo.

This is one of the strategically important facilities that connects Russia and South Ossetia.
