In South Ossetia, a resident of Dzau district, Alan Tedeev, perished during the special military operation, was given last honors.
The Republic's leadership, headed by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov and other officials, friends and relatives of the deceased came to give last tributes to him.
At the funeral ceremony, it was noted that everyone knew Alan as a brave man, a loyal friend, a reliable comrade in arms.
"Alan graduated from school with excellent results and continued his studies in the field of law enforcement. Subsequently, he became a participant in the special military operation, where he proved himself to be a real hero who did not retreat from his principles, who never abandoned his comrades in difficult times," they said at the funeral rally.
President of the Republic, Alan Gagloev, has noted that it is always difficult to say goodbye to young people like Alan.
Unfortunately, now is the time when we often lose young people, and this is unfortunate. It is impossible to convey in words the bitterness of loss. This is irreparable loss,” the head of state said.
Russian Ambassador to the Republic of South Ossetia, Marat Kulakhmetov, has emphasized that people like Alan should not be forgotten.
“Today we are bidding farewell to the fighter who remained in the special military operation until the very end and did not spare his life for the future of South Ossetia and Russia. Such people give their lives so that others have a bright future. We must be proud of them, thank them and never forget their names,” Kulakhmetov said.
Alan was 28 years old. He did not have time to start a family.
By decree of President of South Ossetia, Tedeev was posthumously awarded the “Defender of the Fatherland” medal.
