Vadim Gabaraev, perished during combat missions in the special military operation zone, was bid farewell in South Ossetia.

Representatives of the Republic's leadership, headed by Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, the heads of security agencies, relatives and friends of the deceased, came to bid farewell to the soldier.

At the funeral rally, they noted that Vadim was the example of courage and bravery.

"He was a support for the family, a good neighbor and friend, a role model. Vadim went to the special military operation zone several times. He did not listen to persuasion to stay at home, he said that he should be with his comrades in arms," ​​they said at the rally.

Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov has noted that people like Vadim are the backbone of South Ossetia.

“Vadim has been assigned the important task. In the special military operation zone he was a storm trooper. Storm troopers are those who go into battle fearlessly, who see the enemy in the face. Thanks to people like Vadim, South Ossetia is holding on. He was a hero who did not bend in battle. We must remember and always honor his memory,” Kulakhmetov said.

By decree of the head of state, Gabaraev was awarded the Defender of the Fatherland medal (posthumously).

The underage daughter was left without a father.
