South Ossetia highly appreciates the friendly relations that have developed with Venezuela, which are based on the principles of mutual trust and respect, Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev noted in a congratulatory message to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Ivan Gil Pinto on the occasion of the birthday of the national hero Simon Bolivar.
"On this significant date, the Venezuelan people pay tribute to the outstanding person - a national hero who dedicated his life to the struggle for the independence of the peoples of Latin America. He put education and the upbringing of high ethical principles at the forefront. This man left a deep mark on history, inspiring future generations to strive for freedom, equality and justice," the congratulatory text reads.
According to Dzhioev, South Ossetia is expecting further strengthening and expansion of allied relations between Tskhinval and Caracas in all areas of bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the two countries and peoples.
Akhsar Dzhioev also sent a congratulatory message to Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of South Ossetia, Jesus Rafael Salazar Velasquez.
