More than 3,000 delegates attended the 1st International Economic Forum "South Ossetia: Investment Horizons" in the Republic's capital. More than 10 investment agreements were signed at the Forum, Taimuraz Goginov, head of the organizing committee and South Ossetia's trade representative to the Russian Federation, told the TASS studio during the Forum in Tskhinval.
"The number of people who registered and expressed a desire to witness our—I dare say, revolutionary—changes was enormous.
We were afraid that our Forum and our venues simply wouldn't accommodate such a large number of people.
The number of participants exceeded 3,000, so we are, of course, very pleased," Goginov said.
According to the head of the organizing committee, the Forum in Tskhinval defied Russian experts' statistics for similar events, by three times the expected number of participants.
