The recognition of South Ossetia by Russia on August 26, 2008 was a timely and historic decision of the highest political leadership of the Russian Federation. We will always be grateful to our strategic partner for this step, - President Alan Gagloev has noted during his visit to the "Ossetian Farmstead".

The event was dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the recognition of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation.

The head of state emphasized the deep historical ties between the two countries and expressed gratitude to the Russian people.

Preparations for the upcoming first International Economic Forum are actively continuing in South Ossetia. According to Taimuraz Goginov, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for preparation for the Forum, plans for logistics and communications have already been agreed upon, and all the necessary infrastructure has been created.

“The official website of the Forum has been launched and a corporate style has been developed.

South Ossetia is demonstrating growing attractiveness to investors, actively creating new enterprises and jobs. This was announced at the briefing on Friday by Chairman of the Organizing Committee for preparation and holding of the International Forum, Taimuraz Goginov.

According to him, the Republic is ready to offer the so-called "investment lots" to the interested parties at the Forum - specially prepared projects developed by Ministry of Economic Development jointly with the Organizing Committee.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev held a meeting with the participant of the special military operation Dmitry Alborov, the press service of the head of state reports.

Dmitry Alborov has been in the special military operation zone from the very beginning as part o of the 4th military base unit. ⁣⁣⠀

The head of state thanked the soldier for his faithful service, for his fortitude and courage on the battlefield.⁣⁣⠀

A ceremonial event dedicated to the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation was held in the capital of South Ossetia.

The holiday brought together many guests who came to celebrate the day of one of the most important state symbols of Russia.

Addressing the audience, Adviser to the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia Igor Terziyan emphasized the commonality of the holiday for the entire Russian world.
