Eighteen years after the aggression, Georgia still refuses to admit its guilt – South Ossetian Foreign Ministry

The South Ossetian Foreign Ministry issued a statement marking the 18th anniversary of Georgia's armed aggression, commemorative events for which will be held on August 7-8.

The Ministry has reiterated that, despite the findings of the EU International Commission, Georgia still refuses to admit its guilt and refuses to sign the document on the non-use of force.

A requiem event for those killed in August 2008 will be held in Tskhinval

Mourning events dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the Georgian aggression against South Ossetia will be held in Tskhinval and outside the Republic on August 7 and 8. A memorial service for the victims will be held at the "Defenders of South Ossetia" memorial complex on the night of August 8, with participation of the Opera diva Veronika Dzhioeva, during which will be performed a song dedicated to the defenders of Tskhinval .

Alan Margiev and Kazbek Taysaev discussed the development of inter-parliamentary ties and support for the special military operation participants

South Ossetian Parliament Speaker Alan Margiev met with the Russian State Duma Deputy Kazbek Taysaev, the Parliament's press service reports.

The parties discussed inter-parliamentary cooperation, the implementation of the Treaty of Allied Cooperation, and measures to support participants in the special military operation.

Alan Margiev expressed gratitude to the Russian Federation for its comprehensive assistance and emphasized the importance of continuing the work of the joint inter-parliamentary commission after the upcoming State Duma elections in September.
