In July 2026, 38 violators of border legislation were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia. Of these, nine are violators of the state border regime and 28 are violators of the border regime, the press service of the State Security Committee of the Republic reports.
The KGB has also noted that one offender was detained for disobeying the legal request of thr border guards.
“For each fact, the KGB Border Service conducted investigations, as a result of which 20 offenders were subject to a administrative fine, 15 people were given preventive measures, and two were expelled from the Republic. A criminal case has been initiated against one detainee,” the press service has noted.
At the same time, it was added, 29,500 rubles were collected in favor of the state.
The Border Service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia has reminded that during the period of active agricultural work (August - September), citizens of the Republic are allowed a short-term one-time stay in the border zone to carry out economic activities, incl. purchasing and transporting agricultural products without obtaining the appropriate permit.
To enter the border zone for these purposes, one must personally contact the nearest unit of the Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of South Ossetia with a passport for identification, as well as to clarify the place, nature and timing of economic work.
Entry of minor citizens of the Russian Federation is carried out on the basis of a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation or a birth certificate.
