Deputy Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia - Minister of Finance Dzambolat Tadtaev discussed cooperation issues with the Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut.

The meeting was held at the platform of the 12th open plowing championship in St. Petersburg.

The joint meeting was also attended by Speaker of the People's Assembly of Abkhazia Lasha Ashuba.

The championship started on August 8, its goal is to improve the culture of farming, develop modern technologies, and popularize agricultural professions.

The event dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the Georgian aggression against people of South Ossetia was held in Tiraspol, the Novosti Pridnestrovya news agency reports.

The memory of the defenders and civilians perished in August 2008 was honored near the official representative office of South Ossetia in Tiraspol.

The event was attended by the head of the official representative office of the RSO in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Yankovsky.

Cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia in the defense, scientific, economic, cultural and educational spheres, as well as the deployment of units of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of the Republic is a guarantor of lasting peace and stability for the country. A ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths at the placrs of the Republic's defenders' deaths during the Georgian aggression in August 2008 was held in South Ossetia.

The event was attended by the Republic's leadership headed by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, representatives of the ministries, departments and law enforcement agencies, as well as the public.
