Yegor Kochiev: Five cases of the Georgian citizens violating the South Ossetian border were recorded in January

In January of this year, five violations of the South Ossetian state border by the Georgian citizens were recorded. This was stated by Yegor Kochiev, head of the South Ossetian delegation at the talks, summing up the results of the recent IPRM meeting.

According to him, a criminal case has been opened against one detainee, while the other four were fined and expelled from the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia.

The Republic's leadership, led by President Alan Gagloyv, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, members of Parliament led by Speaker Alan Margiev, relatives and friends of the deceased, and his fellow soldiers came to honor the hero's memory.

At the farewell ceremony, it was noted that Dmitry had proved himself a brave warrior who was carrying out difficult missions in the combat zone.

A farewell ceremony was held in Tskhinval for Anatoly "Gots'i" Dzhioev, a soldier perished in the special military operation zone.

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to the Republic of South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, his fellow soldiers, and family and friends attended the funeral.

During the funeral service, it was noted that Anatoly Dzhiev was known as a brave and honorable man.

The Uista Post and border violations: South Ossetia and Georgia will discuss security issues in the IPRM format

Security issues on the South Ossetian-Georgian border will be discussed on Thursday at the meeting within the framework of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM).

The key topic of discussion in Ergnet will once again be the removal of the Georgian police post from the South Ossetian village of Uista, set up in late August 2019.

The participants will also analyze the current border security situation and review the statistics on violations recorded since the previous meeting.
