The Georgian authorities created the propaganda myth of the so-called occupation after the events of August 2008 and continue to stubbornly convince the international community of this.
This was stated in a comment by the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry spokesperson regarding the Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili's statement that restoring diplomatic relations with Russia is impossible "under the conditions of Russia's occupation of part of the Georgian territory."
