South Ossetia will continue to demonstrate to the world its status as a reliable outpost of the Russian Federation, including by expanding support programs for participants in the special military operation. This was announced by Vadim Tedeev, Rector of the South Ossetian State University, at the meeting of the Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature in Tskhinval.
He has emphasized that the activities of the University and the APRYAL are inextricably linked to supporting state policy and defenders of the Fatherland.
"Today, the Republic is demonstrating its commitment to the special military operation through its actions. The University provides significant support specifically to participants in the special military operation," the University's Rector has noted.
In this regard, the Rector proposed adding a separate section dedicated to the special military operation to the Association's draft plan of activities for the near future.
"We need to hold the events dedicated specifically to the special military operation and its participants." Russian organizations also want to help us with this, and we will be working together. We need to expand the plan with a larger number of events on this topic. We are all looking forward to the end of the special military operation, and of course, victory will be ours” he has emphasized.
The Rector also summarized the past year.
He has reminded that, jointly with the Rossotrudnichestvo, over 40 events were held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism, as well as the large-scale cultural projects.
“The year was very eventful. All our events are held at the proper level and are large-scale. And most importantly, none of them are just for show—and that is encouraging,” the Rector said.
Regarding the future plans, Tedeev proposed adjusting the organization of the upcoming Second Pedagogical Conference of Russian Studies, adding the South Ossetia State University and the Republic's Ministry of Education and Science to the list of responsible entities.
He also called for closer cooperation with the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
"We need to hold as many events as possible jointly with the Russkiy Mir Foundation, because we share the same goals and objectives. You can always draw on the University's resources. Together, we will advance both Russian and Ossetian cultures—and we will succeed," the University's head has concluded.
He expressed gratitude to all Association members and confirmed the University's full support for the proposed draft development plan for APRYAL.
