The 1st International Economic Forum "South Ossetia. Investment Horizons" has announced its business program.
The event will be holding from September 18 to 20 in the city of Tskhinval. The Forum will become a key platform for discussing strategies for socio-economic development of the Republic and the investment potential of international cooperation.
The business program is divided into three blocks, each of which will have a separate day.
A plenary session "The Role of State Policy in Creating a Favorable Investment Environment" has been announced, which will combine the discussion of strategic initiatives of the state and issues of creating a favorable investment climate. It is scheduled for September 20, the last day of the Forum.
On this day, agreements will be signed, and a plenary session with President of the Republic Alan Eduardovich Gagloev will take place.
The third day will be the key day for the Forum, as the head of South Ossetia will present a strategic vision for the development of the Republic and take part in the discussion of investment projects and mechanisms for their support.
The topic "Investment attractiveness of the Republic of South Ossetia and development of the regional banking system" will be the main one on September 19.
The participants in the sessions will discuss the investment opportunities of the Republic, banking technologies, benefits, as well as strengthening the institutions for supporting entrepreneurship. The banking system of the Republic is preparing to become a platform for testing innovative solutions, so one of the focuses of the sessions will be opportunities for external and internal partners On this day that the presentation of the first banknote of the Republic of South Ossetia will take place.
The opening of the Forum will take place on September 18 with a welcoming speech by President of the Republic and will be dedicated to the youth day "The Future Begins Today", where young representatives of creative industries and business will give speeches, discuss the role of youth as a key factor in the development of society, business transformation and IT solutions for social and environmental issues.
The Forum is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Republic of South Ossetia, so the last day of the Forum will be accompanied by a festive parade.
The guests will also be able to take part in the cultural program. On September 18, there will be a show of works by fashion designer Khokh Bekoev and the traditional Ossetian festival of iron hazt. On September 19, the guests will enjoy a concert by the State dance ahd Song Group "Simd" and the State National Song Group Group of Adygeya "Islamey" at the State Drama Theater. On September 20, the participants will be able to visit Ossetian farmsteads, exhibitions of folk craftsmen and a gala concert.
The Forum will be attended by President of South Ossetia Alan Eduardovich Gagloev, President of Abkhazia Badra Zurabovich Gunba, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Nikolaevich Shokhin, Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Sergey Vladimirovich Belov, First Deputy General Director of JSC Kavkaz.RF Andrey Anatolyevich Tsemakhovich, representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, the Russian Export Center, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, and delegations from the regions of the Russian Federation. Among the guests will also be representatives of the largest companies - VTB, PSB, VEB RF, Rostec - and members of business associations of Russia and South Ossetia.
