At the direction of President Alan Gagloev, a systemic vertical support network for special military operation participants and their families is being established in the Republic. The head of state signed an order appointing official representatives on these issues: Acting Health Minister Soslan Naniev, Head of the Presidential Control Directorate Sarmat Chochiev, and Presidential Aide Alan Pliev.
According to Naniev, at the meeting in Moscow with the leadership of the Fatherland Defenders Foundation, the agreement was reached to establish a full-fledged representative office in South Ossetia.
"We have been given a roadmap." "We are currently actively organizing efforts to ensure that special military operation veterans and their families can seek assistance," Naniev said.
Social security issues are being discussed directly with the soldiers. Naniev held a meeting with the command and personnel of the Alania sabotage and reconnaissance detachment. The battalion's Deputy Commander will prepare a list of current issues and initiatives facing service members and their families.
The Ministry of Health also oversees the provision of medical care to the the South Ossetian soldiers in Russian military medical facilities and the search for missing persons. In 2025, the Ministry assisted 24 citizens of the rRpublic who found themselves in difficult situations in hospitals.
The opening of the representative office will strengthen support for the special military operation veterans in the Republic and integrate it into the Foundation's Federal system.
