A military parade commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Republic has begun in Tskhinval

A military parade commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Republic's proclamation has begun on Tskhinval's Theater Square.

Observing the parade from the stands are the officials of the Republic, led by the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev, Abkhazian President Badra Gunba, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko, and delegations from friendly republics that have arrived for the celebrations.

The Tskhinval Economic Forum tripled the expected number of participants – Goginov

More than 3,000 delegates attended the 1st International Economic Forum "South Ossetia: Investment Horizons" in the Republic's capital. More than 10 investment agreements were signed at the Forum, Taimuraz Goginov, head of the organizing committee and South Ossetia's trade representative to the Russian Federation, told the TASS studio during the Forum in Tskhinval.

Rada Dzagoeva and Roman Karmanov discussed developing cultural cooperation between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation.

A working meeting between the South Ossetian Minister of Culture Rada Dzagoeva and Roman Karmanov, Chairman of the Russian Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, took place in Tskhinval.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Alan Tibilov, Director of the State Drama Theater Grigory Mamiev, and Director of the Simd State Song and dance Group Vadim Sanakoev.

During the meeting, key issues and opportunities for further developing cooperation in the cultural sphere were discussed.

The delegation has included Foreign Minister Jentske Whitaker and Minister-Counselor of the Nicaraguan Embassy in the Russian Federation Claudio Antonio Orana.

The two sides exchanged greetings, reminiscing about the history of bilateral cooperation.
