Russia noted the importance of developing measures to ensure the security of Abkhazia and South Ossetia

Security issues in South Ossetia and Abkhazia were discussed at the meeting between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and the co-chairs of the International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, the Russian Foreign Ministry press service reports.

"The exchange of views took place on the current topics of the Discussions in preparation for the next round, scheduled for March.

In South Ossetia, citizens and tourists were reminded of the rules for visiting the border zone

The South Ossetian KGB Border Service reminded citizens and visitors to the Republic (tourists) planning to travel to the border zone of the need to have the appropriate documents.

"Citizens planning to travel, including for recreation and to attend festive or memorial events must have identification documents—a passport, service ID, or birth certificate (for minors).

Furthermore, foreign citizens must have a border zone pass," the KGB press service stated.

The Head of the National Bank of South Ossetia and the CEO of the Russian IT holding discussed cooperation

Chairman of the National Bank of South Ossetia, Soslan Bekoev, held a working meeting at the T1 IT holding, the financial institution's press service reported.

"Soslan Bekoev and the T1 CEO Dmitry Kharitonov have has discussed cooperation and agreed to continue the work, which included a business trip for the company's IT specialists to South Ossetia, as well as the internship for Bank of Alania employees at the T1," the press service has noted.

South Ossetia celebrated the 34th Anniversary of OMON

A ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the formation of the Special Police Detachment (OMON) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was held in Tskhinval.

President Alan Gagloev, the OMON veterans, the leadership of Ministry of Internal Affairs, representatives of other law enforcement agencies came to congratulate the OMON officers on their professional holiday.

During the ceremony, the head of state has emphasized that over the years, the unit has become a symbol of courage, fortitude, and devotion to duty.
